Mito Castle (水戸城)

Information: Baba lineage built Baba castle from 1190 to 1198 during Heian period. In 1594, Yoshinobu Satake attacked Edo clan who owned this castle at that time and won a war, then changed the castle name from Baba c to Mito. When Edo period started, Yorifusa Tokugawa came to dominate Mito area and one of Tokugawa three branch families owned this castle until 1871.
