Jisho-ji teien (Ginkaku-ji) – Garden
Information : Jishoji temple Teien (Garden) | 慈照寺(銀閣寺)庭園
Jisho-ji also called Ginkakuji garden was made by Soseki Muso in 1490. The garden consists of two steps, a dry landscape garden and a pond garden. The garden in Saiho-ji was imitated. When the garden is seen from a Silver Pavilion, Mt.Tsukimachi can be seen. (Shakkei technique)
Shakkei : the technique of forming a dynamic scene by taking nature into the scenery in a garden as a background.
